Summary: Works properly with non-Blackberry A2DP player
Comment: I use a Palm OS Treo 700p with software-based A2DP streaming (Softick Audio Gateway). This "blackberry" audio gateway works properly with my setup.
I have the gateway mounted on top of an armoire cabinet so that the gateway's antenna has no more than one wall between it and my Treo's antenna throughout my bedroom suite. This means that streaming is reliable no matter where I move within this set of rooms.
The gateway is connected to a pair of amplified PC speakers; it will NOT drive a headphone.
As another reviewer noted, this gateway does NOT come with a power supply. However, it uses a standard 5-volt supply with a mini-usb connector. I have several wall chargers left over from old phones or equipment that will power this gateway. Or it may be powered with a PC's USB power.
The gateway will pair with several phones or A2DP devices at the same time. Mine is paired with both my Treo and my laptop.
One thing that I consider useful is that the gateway will NOT act as a phone headset; if a telephone call comes in, the music disconnects and I must answer the call on my phone itself. The positive is that the telephone call is NOT broadcast over the speakers. I think this also makes the connect/disconnect/resume music process cleaner and less likely to fail.
Finally, there is minimal packaging: the gateway and the two audio cables are in individual plastic bags. These three items, plus separate user guides in four languages are inside a pouch of bubble wrap. This pouch is fitted, that is, it is exactly the right size. My gateway was clearly new and unused, but there is not even a box. :-)
Why not five stars? Bluetooth is touchy about antennas and line-of-sight. A five star unit would have a mounting bracket or stand for the gateway. However, I paid only 19.99, not the "list price" of 79.99.

Comment: I have owned this gateway for about 2 months. The gateway is used in my office to connect to my blackberry so I can listen to music without tripping over another cord. The gateway paired instantly with my BB. It is easy to use, control, and connect. The sound has been very good. I have not noticed any of the rattling or other sound distortions noted by another reviewer. As a gateway for a BB (not a high def audio solution) it is perfect. I have no complaints about ease of use, cost, set up, or audio quality and would highly recommend it to someone looking to simplify their life.

Comment: The sound quality is poor. It pairs instantly with my blackberry 8830 but adds a rattle to the music, much like a busted tweeter. I tried it in my car and in home stereo system, same problem. The device would not work for you if you are looking for pristine sound quality.

Summary: A bluetooth stereo gateway (sink) that works
Comment: This bluetooth stereo receiver works as advertised. Good quality sound with no pitch changes like the DC800. Pairs up fast. Only has one button and a two color LED, Truely a minimal gateway from your bluetooth source to your stereo. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it does not come with a power supply. It runs from usb cable power and it has no battery. I had to go out and buy the right usb cable and the a wall usb wall plug to run the device. I also had to upgrade the stereo cable as the stock cable was not a high enough quality and picked up ac hum.
update: This product did not contain a charger as advertised. The device must remain on or it will lose its pairing information.
However, the basic unit is bomb proof.
